Welcome to Callaway
Dear Parents,
Second semester is well underway. Let me encourage you to check your
student's grades online each week and ask to see his or her progress
report or report card every 4.5 weeks. These dates are always listed
on this homepage. Please contact your child's counselor or our
graduation coach if we can be of assistance or if you would like to
schedule a teacher conference. Watch our website for details about
all of the many standardized tests that this semester brings.
Remember, the best academic preparation your child can have
comes through attending all classes and attempting all assignments.
Our basketball and wrestling teams are working hard, as are the
cheerleaders and step team. If you haven't seen them in action, join
us for a game or match soon.
Spring sports are just around the corner. Please visit our athletic
pages for schedules and team rosters.
Go Cavs!

Five members of the Callaway robotics team competed, Saturday, Jan. 21, in the Sparbots FTC qualifier at Athens Academy in Athens Georgia. This is a first for the team. The five students (pictured) were Dalton Reason, Ava "Lexxi" Crane, Ashley Harper (Team Captain), Emily Brown, and Alex Cruse (holding Remy the robot). The students represented themselves and the school wonderfully. They are to be commended for going where no Cavalier has gone before. Because of their efforts the future of the Callaway robotics team looks brighter than it ever has.
Parents please be advised of the changes regarding procedures for charged meals in the school cafeteria.
The CHS Student Council is currently taking donations for the Pennies for Patients Program. This program benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that raises money for cancer research and patient services. Donations to Pennies for Patients will be accepted until January 30, 2012.
