Callaway High ROTC Cadets
recently greeted guests at the Legacy Museum on Main when Elijah
Kelly attended the premier of Red Tails. Cadets who participated are
Jasper Parrish, Dalton Reason, Ashley Roan, Antonia Jones, Elizabeth
Snyder, Lacie Hudgens, Jamina Wilkerson & Ashley Harper.

Diverse
Power will sponsor
two local high school students
on an all expense paid trip to
Washington, D.C.
The trip will take place from June 14
th through
June 22nd. You must be at least 16 years of age, and your parent or
guardian must be a Diverse Power customer.
Applications are available in
Student Services. Students
must apply by February
24th.
The
Atlanta National College Fair will be held on Sunday, February
12, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress
Center Exhibit Hall B2 for college bound students.

Eddie Culpepper, Terry Godwin,
and TeriAnne Reisinger recently appeared on the set
of
CHS4Reel, a
monthly news show produced in partnership with LGTV19 and the city
of LaGrange. The show is written by students and highlights school
activities. You may also see the shows on youtube.com.
A Herff-Jones representative will be in the
CHS cafeteria
during all lunches on Thursday,
February 9th and
Friday,
February 10th to take
class ring
orders. Representatives will also be at CHS on
Thursday,
February 9th from
3:00 p.m.-7:00

The 2012 AP Honor Schools were recently selected by State School
Superintendent Dr John Barge in five categories based on the results
of 2011 AP classes and exams.
Callaway High School
was named a
2012 AP Challenge School. Challenge
Schools are schools of 900 or fewer students with students
testing in four of the core areas (English, math, science, and
social studies). Wednesday, February 8, 2012, has been designated by
the State Board of Education as AP Day in Georgia.

RAT (Random Acts of Technology),
Callaway High School's
robotics team, competed in the BEST Academy FTC qualifier
at Benjamin Carson High School, in Atlanta. The qualifier was held
on Saturday, February 11. The team
placed sixth in
a field of 16 teams. This is a new high water mark for the Callaway
team. Team members who participated in the event on Saturday were
Dalton Reason, Ashley Harper (team captain, shown above with robot) & Emily Brown. The team
is coached by J.C. Holler & Dan Peterson.

Congratulations to

who were announced at the Mr and Miss CHS program on February 9,
