BASKETBALL

I have been a
physical education teacher at Callaway Middle School for the last 16 years.
I have coached varsity football, basketball, and baseball at
Callaway the last 16 years.
I have been coaching for 25 years.
I won a region
championship and state championship at Hogansville in ’95-’96 season
and won region championships at Callaway in ’96-’97, ’98-’99,
’99-’00,and sub-region championship in ’97-’98.
I have coached several players at Callaway that went on to
play college basketball and pro basketball over seas.
My resume is a state championship in ’95-’96, elite 8 in
’97-’98, sub-region title in ’98-’99, sweet 16 in ’99-’00, final
four in ’00-’01, 1st round playoffs in ’07-’08, and 2nd
round in playoff ’08-’09.
I have coached two “Player of the Year” basketball players in
class “A” in the late ‘90’s.
Also the “all time leading scorer” in Callaway history.
I started my
coaching career at Hogansville High ’85-’88 serving as assistant boys
and girls basketball coach under Coach Wallace County and Coach Perry
Holland and serve as head baseball coach for one year.
I was the head baseball coach
at Charles Henderson High in Troy,
Alabama
where after three years won a region title.
I also was the head girls basketball coach while at Charles
Henderson High. I coached
basketball six years and was girls area
runner-up once. I have worked at the
Auburn
University basketball
camps for three years helping young men build their basic basketball
skills. I graduated from Fort
Valley
State
University
where I played college baseball and received my degree in physical
education. I was a graduate
of Troup High where I played football and baseball.
While coaching at Callaway I received “Coach of the Year” honors
three times and other numerous awards.
