He was followed by Matt Caraway 82, Patrick Strickland 84, and Clint Putnal 87. Also playing for CHS were Muhammed-NuMan and Aaron McClellan. The team finished the regular season with a noteworthy 14-3 match record and will host the 5AA region golf tournament at Overlook Golf Links on Tuesday of next week. This match was our tune up for region. After a dissapointing one stroke loss to Manchester 3 weeks ago, the team came out on fire and ready to take care of business. This was truly a team effort and gives the team a great boost of confidence going into the tournament next week. Our ultimate goal is to finish in the top 10 at State; today the team took a positive step in that direction.

Troup County hosted Callaway and Shaw on Tuesday afternoon at Overlook Golf Links. Callaway won with a 166; Troup 179; and Shaw 200. Low medalist for the match was Taylor Pike carding a 2 over par 37. Taylor has been on the golf team for four years now, and he really has his game dialed in this year.
